Together, We Make Happy Endings
Jay was just 9 months old when we first met, the horribly injured victim of a hit-and-run. Unfortunately, saving Jay's life required amputating his left rear leg. But recovering from surgery, plus the rest of his injuries, never dampened Jay's loving spirit. The first thing he did when he woke from surgery was lick the hand of the veterinarian at his side.
While PHS/SPCA's shelter is pretty great it's not a home, and we were delighted to meet the family touched by this story. Always playful and soon quite agile while getting around on three legs, Jay now enjoys life with his humans and a doggie sibling.
PHS/SPCA's Hope Program allows us to help animals in need and give them the happy ending they deserve.
You can make a difference for animals in our care, like Jay. To learn more about creating a legacy supporting animals at PHS/SPCA, contact Lisa Van Buskirk at Lvanbuskirk@phs-spca.org or 650-340-7022, Ext. 327.
