Archie and Mango

Archie and Mango

As an open-door shelter, even tiny little guinea pigs are welcome.

Bonded guinea pig brothers Archie and Mango suddenly found themselves homeless when their owner could no longer provide the care they needed to thrive, so he made the difficult decision to surrender the pair to us, hoping that we could find a suitable home for them together.

As a bonded pair who were best friends, we knew they absolutely needed to be adopted together. It’s not an easy task to find someone who is willing and able to adopt two animals, but we were up for the challenge.

Archie and Mango started their journey in our shelter being a little unsure, but with some gentle tender loving care from our staff and volunteers, the duo realized they were in a safe place and their personalities started to shine.

They love to snuggle together under blankets and nibble on tasty treats like cilantro and have indeed brought immense happiness to their new owner.

Archie and Mango are just two of the thousands of animals we find homes for every single year. To learn how you can help more animals through a gift from your estate plan, please contact Lisa Van Buskirk at 650-340-7022, Ext. 327 or Lvanbuskirk@phs-spca.org today.
